What inspired you to become a Myotherapist?

I was so fascinated with the human body. Our brains and bodies are capable of so much and I want to help in people achieving optimum performance.

What inspired you to study Exercise Physiology?

I have a strong love for sport & fitness and l want to deepen my understanding of the human bodies function and mechanics.

How does your study in Exercise Physiology help you as a Myotherapist?

Specialised knowledge and skills focused on sports and fitness allowing me to cater to athletes right through to everyday remedial massage treatments.

How would you describe your treatment style?

I engage with my clients during treatments. There is a focus on identifying potential causes of pain/injuries through understanding training techniques and patterns along with treating sources of pain, whether local or referred.

What activities do you enjoy?

Cross-fit, Yoga, running and scuba diving when on holidays.

What motivates you to get out of bed every morning?

Coffee... Ha ha ha I must admit l like my cup in the morning! Cross-fit, great coaches and friends to train with and have a laugh. Going to work as a Myotherapist, talking and learning about sports and wellness.

If you were stuck on a remote island, what three things would you bring with you?

A Yoga mat (to practice), Dark Chocolate (to indulge) and a box of matches because you gotta have fire to keep warm!

What is your favourite way to relax?

Watching a great movie, hanging out with mates either at a cafe or beach (when Melbourne is warm). Just chilling, turning my phone off and reading a book is nice way to unwind.

What are your own health goals and how do you balance this with work and study?

My health goals are simple; eat well, train well, sleep well and try to stress less. These can be hard in the crazy lifestyles we all tend to live but I try to find the balance.

What is the best aspect of your job?

Interesting and fulfilling conversations with my patients and learning new skills and knowledge every day from my work peers and clients.
